Email Marketing Specialist

TKEES is looking for a creative and intelligent Email Marketing Specialist that will be responsible for overseeing our email-marketing program that will drive customer engagement and sales. The successful candidate will be an experienced strategist with campaign, automation and data segmentation experience in one or more ESP platforms.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop strategies to improve open rates and click through rates for both campaigns and behavioral emails including testing and implementing dynamic personalized content.
  • Provide campaign quality assurance including: validating the placement of tracking codes at appropriate locations; reviewing campaign lead files; reviewing, testing and approving email templates and lists to ensure accuracy; reviewing pre- and post-deployment campaign files and proofing content.

  • Develop transactional, informational and promotional marketing automation strategies.
  • Develop email marketing strategies to move new users that haven’t purchased to becoming first time customers, repeat customers, and eventually loyal customers.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Digital and Data teams to build segments and understand customer behavior/customer lifecycle.
  • Build KPIs and report on the performance of email marketing weekly.
  • Research and benchmark against market in order to develop competitive edge and provide recommendations based on strategic insights.
  • Implement regular data-driven testing of email programs to maximize performance and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • University or college degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline
  • Experience in a digital marketing role
  • Hands-on experience managing digital media, digital marketing (email/social/web/mobile) and associated tracking, measurement and reporting.
  • Extensive experience working with a top-tier ESP (preferably Klaviyo) including functionality, data integration/APIs
  • Basic understating of HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Strong working knowledge of Photoshop.
  • Have a passion for customer experience, email design trends and best practices
  • Collaborative nature, ability to work cross departmentally and can be relied on to communicate details and information effectively.
